The short version is that we introduce people, we do not do the work, and we cannot tell you what your utility will pay.

The essentials

AcousticLeak introduces homeowners to contractors and does nothing else. It is not a water utility and is not party to any agreement reached with a contractor. What any particular leak adjustment scheme allows is not stated here.

AcousticLeak is a referral service, not a contractor. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands. We carry out no work and no leak location, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call. Nothing here is a statement about what your own utility will credit; only your utility can tell you that.

AcousticLeak is an introduction service. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. We are not a party to any agreement you reach with a contractor, we do not supervise their work and we do not guarantee it.

What the pages about billing are and are not

The leak adjustment material on this site describes two published municipal programs, named and linked, as concrete examples of how such schemes are structured. It is not a statement about your utility, your account or your entitlement, and no page here says you will receive anything.

Programmes change, and the two quoted here may have changed since this page was written. Read them at the source and ask your own utility about yours.

Everything else published here

General information about how concealed leaks behave and what the locating methods depend on. It is not a survey of your property and it is not professional advice about it.

If something here is wrong

If something here is wrong, or a program we quote has changed, tell us at hello@nxtaflow.com and we will correct it. We would rather be corrected than consistent.

Check with your water utility first.If the leak is on their side it is not your bill and not your excavation, and that call is free. If it is yours, come back and we will route you to a local contractor who can find it, chosen on the ZIP code you give. We never charge you either way. Nor must it be a leak: whatever the plumbing is doing, this number reaches somebody.
