This site spends most of its pages telling you to contact your water utility, so the first thing it owes you is a clear statement that we are not them and have no line to them.

The essentials

Every page is a fixed file written before you arrived, so the site cannot receive anything. A call carries only a ZIP code, what you have observed, and the number dialed. Nothing about the property or any earlier call is stored.

AcousticLeak is a referral service, not a contractor. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands. We carry out no work and no leak location, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call. Nothing here is a statement about what your own utility will credit; only your utility can tell you that.

We have no connection to your utility

We cannot look up your account, we cannot see your consumption, we cannot submit an adjustment claim on your behalf and we do not know what your utility has on file. Everything this site tells you to ask them, you ask them.

The reverse matters more: nothing you tell us reaches your utility, your municipality or your insurer. We have no mechanism to report a property to anybody and we would not use one.

What a call records

A ZIP code and a description of what you are seeing, so the call can reach a contractor who covers your area. Your number arrives because you dialed, along with the time and the length of the call.

We do not ask your name, and there is no form anywhere on this website to put one into. The ZIP code is a routing instruction, not an address.

Meter readings and paperwork stay with you

If you have done the meter check, that reading is evidence for your claim and it belongs to you. We do not collect it, we have nowhere to store it and we do not want a copy of any bill, invoice or locate report.

Where the call ends up

To the contractor who answers, because they cannot plan a survey they have not heard described. Nowhere else. We do not sell contact details and we do not build lists out of calls.

The pages, and deleting the record

Every page here is a static file: no advertising cookies, no third-party tracking scripts, nothing recording which pages you read.

To have a call record removed, write to hello@nxtaflow.com with the number you called from. It is the only thing the record is filed under.

Check with your water utility first.If the leak is on their side it is not your bill and not your excavation, and that call is free. If it is yours, come back and we will route you to a local contractor who can find it, chosen on the ZIP code you give. We never charge you either way. Nor must it be a leak: whatever the plumbing is doing, this number reaches somebody.
